Carpet, Anonymous, 1835-1850, Great-Britain (BANHAM Joanna, PORTER Julia,Victorian Interior Design, London, Studio Edition Ltd, 1995, p. 56.)
#3 This carpet was produced in the UK in the first half of the 19th century. Its design is a mix of gothic architectural elements such as pointed arch and Renaissance or Tudor elements with its columns and foliage. Also, it is an example of Oriental inspiration in the Gothic Revival movement especially with the pagoda inspired motifs.
